Care Guides

A well maintained pet bed doesn't just look and smell better-it supports your pets health, comfort and overall wellbeing. Regular cleaning helps reduce odours, allergies and the natural build up of dirt that occurs with daily use. To keep your bed in the best possible condition, follow the guidance below.

Shake it out

Take the bed outside and give it a firm shake to remove hair, dust and dirt trapped in the fabric or filling. This prevents debris from settling deep into the fibres, which can cause unwanted smells and wear overtime. It also reduces allergies in your home.

Vacuum weekly

Use a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to lift embedded hair and dirt from the beds surface, seams and crevices. Vacuuming keeps the bed fresher between washes and helps maintain the shape and longevity of the fabric.

Wash & Dry

Most of our beds come with removable covers that can be washed on a gentle cycle using a pet friendly mild detergent. Using the correct settings prevents shrinkage, protects stitching and maintains the structure of the bed. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and strong fragrance and these can irritate your pets skin. Air dry whenever possible and make sure the filling is completely dry before returning to your pet. Moisture trapped inside the bed can lead to mildew or unpleasant smells.

Fluff and Inspect

Fluff the bed or cushion to redistribute filling and rotate it occasionally to prevent uneven wear and tear. This helps maintain comfort and shape, ensuring consistent support. Check the bed regularly foe loose seams, thinning fabric or damaged filling. A well maintained bed is safer and longer lasting.
